Instant Guitar for Hopelessly Busy People

In just a few hours, you can learn enough about playing the guitar to give you years of musical enjoyment, and you won’t have to take private lessons to do it. This crash course will teach you some basic chords and get you playing along with your favorite songs right away. Since this class is being held online with ZOOM you will be able to sit at home with your guitar and take this class without any pressure at all. And since the class includes an online book and online follow-up video lessons, you will be able to continue your practice and study on your own. An optional periodic online question and answer session is included. A recording of the class is included as well. Class limited to 15 students. For ages 13+.

You will be sent a ZOOM link prior to the start of class.
Beginning Conversational Italian

Learn the basics of the language with a view to travel and simple conversations. Assumes no previous study of the language. Suggested but not required: The New Italian Project. We will cover the first 5 units, referred to as 1A in some of the book versions. Alternatively Nuovissimo Progetto Italiano 1 libro dello studente which is the Italian only version I will be using for teaching but it is more expensive. Class meets at the Kittery Community Center.

CPR

Learn lifesaving skills in this class! You'll master American Heart Association CPR and AED techniques for adults, children, and infants, including how to use an AED during CPR.
Dean serves the Kennebunk and Kennebunkport communities as Firefighter/EMT, an American Heart Association CPR and First Aid instructor, an ALICE instructor, and a National Highway Transportation Safety Board Child Safety Seat Technician.
Optional certification is available for an extra fee of $20, payable to Dean by cash, check, or Venmo.
You will pay Dean directly at class either $50 for the class only or $70 for the class and certificate.

Hand Bound Sketchbooks

In this class, students will create 2 hard cover sketchbooks: a Japanese Stab bound Sketchbook, and a secret Belgian Binding Book. Each of these structures lies flat when open for drawing. Class will focus on the techniques, structures, tools, materials and processes.
