Empathy & Authenticity: Pathways to Vibrant, Fulfilling Relationships

$69

with Peter Fernald

Calendar Sep 19, 2017 at 6:30 pm, runs for 5 weeks

NEW class just added (not listed in paper brochure). The course will include brief (10 to 15-minute lectures), demonstrations of empathic listening with student volunteers and small group (dyads and triads) activities involving listening skills. Students will be encouraged to practice empathic listening outside the classroom; successes and challenges in such efforts will be recorded and discussed in the classroom.

The goal is for students to develop a clear sense of how empathic listening relates to personal development, authenticity and greater fulfillment in relationships.

Peter taught for 46 years in UNH's Psychology Department. He greatly enjoys teaching and having fun in the classroom.
