Paper has been around for 2,000 years, and we are going to explore all facets of it! Join Gayle in this 4-night class where you will dive into a number of fun papermaking activities. This class will cover learning how to make your very own paper, how to
marble paper, how to make beautiful paper bowls, and book binding.

In the first live online class, we'll start by learning camera settings, aperture, shutter, ISO, white balance and other compositional techniques critical to lighthouse photography. The following Saturday! During the Cruise, we’ll focus on photographing the wildlife and lighthouses, sharing techniques and approaches. Finally, we’ll meet online the following week to share, learn and critique our images. Limited to 15 students. This workshop is for beginner and intermediate photographers. Students must purchase their own Cruise Ticket.
Drilled Beach Stone: Necklace and Key Ring

Drilled Beach Stone material list
Learn to turn beach stones into beautiful one of a kind necklaces and key rings by safely drilling beach stones, setting grommets and attaching jump rings. At the end of class, you will have 2 necklaces and 1 key ring. Choose from prepared stones that Susan will provide. If time allows additional materials may be purchased to make more items.

Needle Felted Songbirds

For all skill levels, learn how easy it is to create a three-dimensional songbird with basic felting techniques. Using a simple wire armature, textured fibers (roving), and sharp, barbed needles to complete the form, you will see your creature come to life! There are endless possibilities once you have learned the technique.

Spring Birding at Fort Foster

Let’s work on bird identification with spring migrant field marks. Limit 15. Bring binoculars. Class will meet at the entrance gate of Fort Foster. Additional fee may be required for entrance to Fort Foster.
