Home for the birds!

Spring is around the corner and birds are searching for their new homes. In this class you will be guided through the creative process of decorating your beautiful new bird house. You will be provided with an unfinished birdhouse, and all the supplies for painting and decorating an outdoor or indoor creation that's fit for the birds.

How to Write Scenes that Grip Your Reader and Keep them Turning the Page
with Kate Johnston
A scene is a building block of your story, and its purpose is to advance the plot while also showcasing characters involved in a definitive point of tension that challenges them externally as well as internally. In this hands-on writing workshop, you’ll learn how to construct a scene that deeply engages the reader with the story so that they want to know what happens next (i.e. Keep Turning the Page).
For fiction and memoir writers. All participants will be expected to submit at least 10 pages of a work-in-progress that will be workshopped by all members of the class. All genres are accepted, but please don’t submit offensive material. If you have questions about this, you can email the instructor. Max 6 students.

Learn how to create beautiful flyers, social media posts, and other marketing materials with this powerful (and free!) website. Choosing the right design, editing images and video, and sharing your creations will all be explored.

The Art of Songwriting
with Theresa Kipp
During this course, you will explore the creative process of songwriting as you join Theresa Kipp, accomplished singer/songwriter, in the "How To's" of crafting original songs. You will examine your creative potential as we touch upon techniques for developing song structure, writing song lyrics, creating melody and harmony, and applying the principles of rhythm. You are guaranteed a fun, lighthearted, creative experience.

Play the Ukulele, Your Journey begins here!
with Duncan Perry
Learn to play the ukulele! It has never been more popular and you don’t even have to know how to read music! On the uke you can knock out folk music, rock, blues, jazz, pop, country, tunes old and new -- even classical music. Duncan Perry, who has taught more than 700 students of all ages, will introduce you to essential chords and playing techniques using commonly known songs. You will need a playable ukulele and an electronic tuner or a tuner app. If you don’t own a ukulele, please contact us for information. Here’s your chance to find out how to play this wonderfully versatile, go anywhere instrument in our no-stress program for beginners.Pick the session that works for you. Prior to class, you will be sent a ZOOM link to join this class virtually. Pick which session date works for you.

Woven Bookmarks
with Alicia Stiles
Join us for a creative introduction to the art of weaving! This class requires no previous weaving experience, although it can be enjoyed by beginners and pros alike! During this class, you’ll learn how to warp your own loom, master the importance of tension and explore weaving techniques such as plain weave, twill, sumac, and rya knots.
Alicia, our seasoned instructor, meets each student at their skill level and provides individualized instruction for a meaningful experience. Students will have access to yarns in many colors and textures during class to create truly one-of-a-kind weavings. In addition to their beautiful and handcrafted bookmark, participants will be able to take home the small wooden loom from the Class for future projects. Learn something new in a fun and supportive environment!

The Secret Language of Film
with Wesley Skinner
Join us as we discuss the various tools filmmakers use (cinematography, editing, sound, ect.) to communicate themes beyond the pages of the screenplay. For newcomers and veteran cinephiles alike!
Wesley grew up in New England. He has lived all over the country, working on multiple film sets, and written for various entertainment sites about film. He would like to share that passion and knowledge with others.
