Where is the best place for you to receive the services you need? How long does it take? What equipment or tools are recommended? Where do I get them? What if I need long term assistance? Are there community services to know about? What is covered by insurance and what do I pay for? Get knowledgeable. Be prepared. Empower yourself. Direct your healthcare decisions to what works best for you.

Portsmouth Naval Shipyard: From Sails to Atoms

Portsmouth Naval Shipyard has a venerable heritage and rich tradition.  Learn about its role and achievements in times of war and peace from a military historian’s perspective. The tour will begin with a presentation in the new lecture room of the Shipyard Museum, and continue with a tour of the museum and a driving tour around the perimeter of the base, including an up-close view of the prison’s exterior. Must be U.S. Citizen and bring valid photo I.D. such as Driver’s License or U.S. Passport.

Preserving the Harvest: Summer Salsas

Ever wonder how to preserve all those great summer tomatoes? This hands-on food preservation workshop will teach you the basic steps for canning and freezing. Participants will receive a “Preserving the Harvest” food preservation packet, and will learn recommended methods for preserving foods, the latest and safest recipes, about equipment to insure safety, and how to check for properly sealed jars. Bring to class: a potholder.

Psyching up for Everyday Life

In this two-session course, we will explore the power human intuition. Also known by the term “the psychic dimension of mind,” intuition can be employed to solve problems, to deal with stress and to make everyday decisions, both small and large. Participants will be introduced to a simple 3-step schema called ACE for cultivating, experiencing and applying the skills and benefits of intuition.
