Wet Felted Spring Flowers

with Jennifer Field

Calendar Apr 23, 2019 at 6 pm, runs for 2 weeks

In this fun and colorful two night workshop, students will transform soft, quick felting short fiber merino wool, in luscious colors with aromatheraputic olive oil soap, warm water and some elbow grease, to create beautiful felt flowers. You will learn how to make botanical forms: flower petals, leaves, buds and wired stems.  Students will spend the first night creating parts and the second night assembling a simple stemmed flower, like a tulip, daffodil or poppy. I cannot overstate the therapeutical and relaxing effects of wet felting and the satisfaction of recreating nature. $25 Materials kit will include fleece (students will go home with extra to make another few flowers), basic wet felting tool kit, soap and wire.
