Drying Fruits, Vegetables, and Jerky

Drying is a simple, inexpensive way to preserve foods, and is especially useful for creating lightweight snacks and meals for outdoor activities, such as canoeing and backpacking. Come join University of Maine Cooperative Extension staff and Master Food Preserver volunteers and learn different techniques for to best dehydrate fruits, vegetables, and jerky. Participants will receive recipes, make samples of dried goods, and bundle up herbs to dry at home.
