Aquaculture

with Gunnar Ek

$5

For many years Kittery Point resident, Gunnar Ek has been involved in the development of sustainable aquaculture projects through UNH and has been exploring new, sustainable methods for growing fish, mussels and seaweed off the coast of Kittery. He is the Project Manager of a trout farm in Newcastle that utilizes these cutting edge practices to produce clean, healthy steelhead trout!  With the strong movement towards local farm-to-table food supply for restaurants and home cooking, this class will highlight the most important milestones of sustainable fish-farming and help you discover how to get access to or even grow clean, healthy seafood in the future.
