IC3 (Internet and Computing Core) Computer Certification for Career Development

The IC3 program uses a comprehensive curriculum and experienced instructors to develop skills in 7 key competency areas: Technology Basics, Digital Citizenship, Information Management, Content Creation, Communication, Collaboration, and finally Safety and Security.  The course offers customizable and tiered certification levels. Upon passing the Level 1 exam students will demonstrate a solid foundational knowledge related to the key competency areas. The Level 2 exam has students perform tasks and demonstrate their skills in each of the competency areas. Level 3 certification demonstrates technology leadership skills and the ability to manage systems and processes, to solve problems and provide guidance to others. Potential to earn college credits upon completion of all 3 levels by earning a Master Certification in Digital Literacy.

Classes are online with a live instructor Tuesdays/Thursdays from 6-8 pm, beginning April 5th.

Behavior Health Professional Training

Children’s Behavioral Health Services are vital to Maine’s children with Intellectual Disabilities, Autism and Mental Health Disorders and their families. And the need in our area is great!

We are excited to connect our adult education community with this wonderful ONLINE training program. This online training is Free. The online training will equip you to successfully help children who are currently on a waitlist for services. The training will prepare you for employment through local social services agencies. 

The program can be started at any time and finished at your own pace. You will complete 12 online modules then 3, 4-hour live sessions, including the new ethics and boundaries training. 

Once the modules are completed, participants that do not already possess CPR certification will be required to complete either in-person or blended Child & Adult CPR/FA training. Woodford’s offers several training times per month at our Westbrook location. 

The entire training requirements will take about 45 hours. Any individual who will be 18 years of age or older upon completion of the course may register.

Linda Greer, the Director of Marshwood and Kittery Adult Education will advise and support students on their training journey. Linda has expertise in the BHP field.

This online math course integrates mathematics, specifically algebra with many other areas of study, including history, biology, and geography. You will develop a rich understanding of math while you study algebra right here in a relaxed and supportive learning environment. Its emphasis on practical math applications of your new-found algebraic skills will help you learn math reasoning in a real-world context. As a result, you will acquire a wide variety of basic math skills that will help you find solutions to almost any math problem.
